Why translate into English?

In an increasingly globalized world, English has become the lingua franca of trade, science and technology; and even on the Italian market a product with English documentation simply looks better. It is therefore increasingly essential to write and/or translate user manuals, technical documents, business letters, promotional material, catalogues, web sites... in short all your company's printed information in English.

Why is it risky to leave translation to chance?

A high quality translation is your "worldwide visiting card", and is often the first contact your potential customers have with your company. It does not make sense to invest enormous sums in research, technology, production and advertising and then mess things up with an awful translation. To avoid looking like complete bunglers, it is best to turn to an expert translator, i.e. a language consultant able to provide a quality translation which promotes a positive image of your company abroad.

What does translation mean?

In order to translate, excellent knowledge of both languages is necessary, but not sufficient. In fact translating does not mean simply "copying the text into another language". A properly done translation entails a whole series of operations that only someone with suitable qualifications and/or several years of experience can do, i.e.:

  • Analysis of the text to translate
Analysis of style and register on the basis of the lexicon and grammatical structures used, and search for equivalents in English.
  • Terminology analysis
Analysis of the jargon and sectorial terms and search for equivalents in English.
  • Reworking of the text
Rewriting of the text in the other language according to the results of the above mentioned analyses.
  • Quality control
Fluency check, terminology check, syntax and grammar check, layout check, completeness check and spelling check.
Only in this way will the result be up to scratch.

What is a language consultant?

A language consultant is more than just a simple translator. It is a person who follows all your language problems and helps find the right solution for you. By contacting an expert directly, you know you will always speak to the same person and can be sure to receive a tailor-made service, constant quality and uniform style.
