Why is it called a training package?
Because it is not just a presentation of the tool. The package consists of an on-line seminar that lasts about four and a half hours and
provides a broad overview of the uses and functions of Déjà Vu X Professional with real examples. This is followed by a thirty-minute one-to-one tutoring session, which allows trainees to clear up any doubts that may emerge when they actually put the things they have learnt into practice.

The
training webinar is delivered live in English via a web conferencing system with built-in VoIP. In other words, it is interactive like a real seminar. Besides speakers/headphones, attendees should ideally have a microphone so that they can ask questions. Alternatively, it is also possible to phone in (you pay for the call) or type your questions into a chat window. Due to its interactive nature, enrolment is limited to a maximum of eight attendees.

The half-hour tutoring session is one-to-one, can be delivered in English or Italian, and takes place within thirty days of the training webinar. The trainer and trainee agree upon the date and time of the tutoring session before enrolment. During the tutoring the trainer can see the trainee's screen and offer guidance.

Obviously a broadband Internet connection (cost not included in the price of the package) is essential for reasonable reception.

What does the training webinar cover?
See syllabus.

What does the tutoring cover?
Any problems you may have run into. Further tutoring sessions may also be purchased.

Do I get an attendance certificate?
An attendance certificate is issued after the training webinar and may score you points in the continuing professional development programmes run by various translators' associations.

Training notes
Attendees will receive some summary notes exclusively for their personal use after logging into the
training webinar.

How much does it cost?
The package costs €120.00. VAT may be applicable in some EU countries. Special discounts are available for translators' associations, agencies and group buyers: write to me for more information. The length of the training webinar is indicative, since it also depends on the number of questions attendees ask.

Who is the trainer?
I am a freelance translator, an ATRIL Certified Training Partner and the author of A Tinkerer's Guide to Structured Query Language in Déjà Vu X. I am also the developer of the freeware terminology search tool IntelliWebSearch. I have held training courses and seminars in Italy for schools, translation agencies, professional associations and individual professional translators on the use of Déjà Vu since 2000.
